Tagging Devices in Saner CVEM for Easy Management and Organization

Modified on Fri, 26 Sep at 1:35 PM

Overview:
In Saner CVEM, tags act as labels that you can attach to your resources to make them easier to manage and organize. Each tag consists of a key and a value, and together they provide useful context about your resources.

For example, you might tag resources based on:

  • Region

  • Service type

  • Accessibility (e.g., public vs. private)

  • Any other criteria relevant to your organization

Saner CVEM comes with a set of default tags, but you can also create your own custom tags to meet the specific needs of your environment. By applying tags, you can quickly search, filter, and categorize resources, making day-to-day management much simpler and more efficient.

Saner CVEM supports two types of tags:

  • Saner Default Tags – Predefined and ready to use.

  • User-defined (Custom) Tags – Created and managed manually by users.

  • You can apply multiple tags to the same resource.

  • Default tags cannot be modified or deleted.

Conclusion

Tags in Saner CVEM provide a powerful and flexible way to manage resources at scale. Whether you are applying built-in tags or creating custom ones, they help bring order and clarity to large sets of resources. With the ability to create, view, modify, and delete custom tags, you remain in full control of how resources are organized. By using tags consistently, your team can save time, reduce errors, and gain better visibility across all managed devices.
