Overview

Saner CVEM allows administrators to manage endpoint security by blocking applications that are considered risky or blacklisted. This ensures that unauthorized or potentially harmful applications cannot run on managed devices, helping maintain compliance and strengthen overall security posture.

Steps to Block Blacklisted Applications

  1. Access the Endpoint Management Module

    • Log in to the Saner CVEM dashboard.

    • Navigate to the Endpoint Management module.

  2. Open Application and Device Control

    • Click on Actions.

    • Select Application and Device Control

  3. Select Application Block

    • From the available options, choose Application Block.

  4. Configure the Response

    • Select the Operating System Family (Windows, Linux, or macOS).

    • Enter a Response Name and Response Description to identify this block action.

    • Select the desired applications or all blacklisted applications from the checkbox list.

  5. Schedule the Response

    • Choose to execute the response immediately, or schedule it daily, weekly, monthly, or assign a specific execution date.

  6. Create the Response

    • Click Create Response to enforce the block.

    • The selected applications will now be blocked on all targeted endpoints.

Notes

  • Ensure that the applications you intend to block are correctly added to the blacklist.

  • You can modify or delete existing application block responses as required.
