Overview

Saner CVEM provides the ability to configure alerts that notify end users or customers about specific asset-related activities such as:

  • Outdated applications

  • Newly installed assets

  • Blacklisted assets

By setting up alerts, organizations can stay informed and take timely action.

Note: Before configuring alerts, ensure that email settings are configured in the Control Panel under the Settings option.

Resolution Steps

  1. Log in to the Saner CVEM console.

  2. Go to the Control Panel by clicking the Settings icon.

  3. Navigate to Email and configure the required email settings.

  4. Perform a Test Mail to verify that the connection successfully delivers a test email to the configured recipient’s address.

  5. Once email settings are validated, click on the Alerts icon under the desired Account or Site.

  6. In the Asset Exposure section:

    • Set Subscription Status to ON.

    • Define the condition(s) based on your requirements (Outdated Applications, New Assets, Blacklisted Assets).

    • Enter the end-user email addresses to receive the alerts.

Outcome

Once configured, end users will receive email notifications whenever an outdated application is detected, a new asset is installed, or a blacklisted asset is identified within the selected account or site.
