Saner CVEM provides an easy way to manage application blacklisting and whitelisting, allowing administrators to control software usage across the network. By blacklisting unwanted applications and whitelisting authorized ones, organizations can maintain better security and compliance.


Steps to Blacklist or Whitelist Applications

1. Access the Saner CVEM Asset Exposure Dashboard

  1. Log in to the Saner CVEM console.

  2. Navigate to the Asset Exposure module.

2. View Asset Listings

  1. Click on Asset Listing to display a list of applications present in the network.

    • The list will include application names, versions, and publishers.

    • By default, all applications are whitelisted.

3. Blacklist or Whitelist Applications

  1. Select the checkbox next to the application(s) you want to blacklist or whitelist.

  2. You can also edit existing applications and update their status.

  3. Click Save to apply the changes.

4. Apply Filters

Saner CVEM allows filtering based on the following criteria:

  • Blacklisted Assets

  • Whitelisted Assets

  • Family

  • Group

  • Operating System

  • Publishers
