Overview

Saner CVEM allows administrators to configure email notification alerts for Patch Management (PM) and Compliance Management (CM) tasks. These alerts ensure that stakeholders are informed about the status of remediation jobs, including their creation, completion, or scheduled execution.

Steps to Configure Email Notifications

Step 1: Navigate to Patch Management

  • Log in to the Saner CVEM console.

  • Go to Patch Management (PM) → Missing Patches.

Step 2: Select Patch for Remediation

  • Select the patch you want to remediate.

Step 3: Configure Notification

  • Choose the Patching Notification option.

  • Enter the email address where you want to receive notifications.

Notification Options

You can configure alerts based on the following preferences:

  1. Task Creation

    • An alert will be sent when the remediation job is created.

  2. Task End

    • An alert will be sent once the remediation job is completed, whether successful or failed.

    • Note: The completion status is sent from the agent side to the server.

  3. Schedule

    • Alerts will be sent based on a recurring schedule.

    • You can configure notifications as daily, weekly, or monthly, depending on requirements.

Note

  • Notification alerts can be deleted from the Patch Management → Status page.

Conclusion

By configuring notification schedule alerts in Saner CVEM, administrators can stay updated on remediation job activities, improving visibility and ensuring timely action on patching and configuration tasks.
