Upgrading Windows 10 OS using Patch Management in Saner CVEM
Using the Patch Management module in Saner CVEM, you can upgrade the Windows 10 Operating System to any version.
Follow these steps to upgrade Windows 10 OS from v1909 to v2004:
Open Saner CVEM via any browser.
Log in and click on the Patch Management (PM) module.
Click on 'Missing Patches'.
Click on 'Source' and select the device, e.g., "Windows 10 v1909," from the filter options for OS upgrade.
The system will list the "Patch" details and display the upgrade KB as "Feature update to Windows 10, version" under either the "Security" or "Non-security" patches category.
Select the respective patch you want to apply.
Click on "Apply Selected Patches".
Enter the task name (any custom name can be given).
Schedule the remediation (Immediate/After Scheduled Scan/Custom Date).
Additional Plugin Options:
Patching Activity Notification – Enter a custom message.
Reboot Control – Choose from "Do Not Reboot," "Reboot Automatically," or "Scheduled Date and Time".
Remediation End Time – Set an end time for remediation.
Remediation Scripts – Upload scripts to run before (Pre-Script) or after (Post-Script) the remediation job.
Test and Deploy – Select a device to test before full deployment.
