Overview

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for administrators to block domains and stop processes on endpoints using Saner CVEM. Blocking domains helps prevent access to malicious or unauthorized websites, while stopping processes allows administrators to terminate suspicious or unwanted applications running on endpoints.

How to Block a Domain in Endpoint Management (EM)

  1. Navigate to Endpoint Management (EM) Console

    • Log in to the Saner CVEM console.

    • Go to the Actions section.

  2. Access Network Actions

    • Select Network to access network-related actions.

  3. Select "Block Domain"

    • From the Action drop-down menu, choose Block Domain.

    • This option allows you to enter the URL of the domain you want to block.

  4. Enter the Domain URL

    • Type the URL of the domain you wish to block in the provided field.

    • Ensure the URL is accurate to avoid unintentional blocking.

  5. Create Response

    • Click on Create Response to enforce the block on the selected endpoints.

How to Block or Stop a Process in Endpoint Management (EM)

  1. Navigate to the Process Section

    • Refer to the console screenshots or navigate directly to the Process section in Saner CVEM.

  2. Select "Stop Process"

    • In the same Action drop-down menu used to block domains, choose Stop Process/Process block

    • This option allows you to terminate a running process on the selected endpoints.

  3. Execute the Action

    • Follow the prompts to stop the process on the targeted endpoints.

    • Ensure that the process selected is safe to terminate to avoid impacting system functionality.

Note: Always verify the target endpoints and actions before executing, especially in production environments, to prevent unintentional disruption.
