Confirm that the file deletion will not affect system stability or application behavior.
Steps to Delete a File from a Device
Navigate to Endpoint Management
Log in to the Saner CVEM console and go to the Endpoint Management section.Click on 'Action'
Select the Action tab to create a new endpoint action.Select 'File' Option
Under the action type, click on File.Choose the Operating System
Select the appropriate Operating System (e.g., Windows, Linux, or macOS) for the target device.Select Action as 'Delete File'
From the list of available file actions, choose Delete File.Specify the File Path
Enter the exact file path of the file you want to delete on the device.Provide Response Name and Description
Response Name: Enter a meaningful name for this action.
Response Description: Provide a brief description of the purpose of the file deletion.
Select Target Device(s)
Choose the target endpoint(s) where you want this action to be executed.Click on 'Create Response'
After filling in all required fields, click Create Response to execute the action.Check Action Status
Navigate to the Action Status tab to monitor the response execution.If the status shows Success, the file has been successfully deleted from the device.
Verify at Endpoint Level
You may confirm the deletion by checking directly on the endpoint device to ensure the file is no longer present.
Note
Ensure you have the correct file path and appropriate permissions before executing the delete action to avoid unintentional data loss.
