This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to upload and execute custom scripts on target devices using the Remote Scripting feature within the Endpoint Management module in Saner CVEM.


Steps to Upload and Execute a Script

1. Access the Endpoint Management Module

  • Log in to the Saner CVEM console.

  • Navigate to Endpoint Management.

2. Launch Remote Scripting

  • Go to the Action menu and click on Remote Scripting.


  • This will open the Remote Scripting Console.

3. Upload the Script

  • Click on the Upload icon.


  • Select the script file from your local system.


  • Once uploaded, the script will appear in the Remote Scripting Console list.


4. Execute the Script

  • Click on the Execute icon under the Action column for the uploaded script.


  • Provide the Task Name and Task Description.


  • Select the target device(s) where you want the script to be executed.

  • Click Next to proceed.

5. Schedule and Apply

  • Choose the appropriate schedule for script execution (immediate or scheduled).


  • Click Apply to initiate the task.

6. Monitor Task Status

  • You will be redirected to the Task Status page.


  • Wait for the task to complete. Once completed, the status will reflect as Successful.

7. View Script Execution Details

  • To view detailed execution results:

    • Click on the plus (+) icon next to the hostname on the Task Status page.

    • The expanded section will display the execution output and logs.
