Use Case 1: Deleting a File from a Remote Device

Scenario:

If the customer needs to delete the file 'Installed Security Patches Yearly Report.CSV' from a specific path on a remote device.

    • Enter the complete file path including the extension.

    • Select the target device(s).

    • Configure the execution frequency (one-time or recurring).

    • Click on Create Response to initiate the deletion task.

  4. Verify Task Execution

    • Once the device receives the task via SanerNow Agent, the status will be updated as successful.

    • The specified file will be removed from the endpoint.

    • Task status indicators:

      • Saner task status: Displays task execution success.

      • File removal confirmation: The file is no longer present on the remote device.

Use Case 2: Quarantining a File on a Remote Device

Scenario:

If the customer needs to quarantine the file 'Logs analysis.txt' from a specific path on a remote device.

Solution

  1. Log in to the SanerNow Portal.

  2. Navigate to Endpoint Management (EM) > Action > File.

  3. Select the Quarantine Option.

    • Enter the complete file path.

    • Click Create Response to execute the quarantine task.

  4. Verify the Quarantine Action

    • Once the quarantine action is completed, the file will be isolated and cannot be opened.

    • The task status will update to indicate successful execution.
