Verifying and Mitigating High-Fidelity Attack Affected Assets

Overview

This document provides guidance on verifying assets and CVEs affected by high-fidelity attacks and mitigating them using the available patches in the SanerCVEM console.

Steps to View High-Fidelity Attack Affected Assets

  1. Access the VM Module

    • Navigate to the High-Fidelity Attacks dashboard.

    • Click on the % of affected indicator to view detailed information about the affected hosts and assets.

    • Additional details on affected fidelity attacks will be displayed.

    • You can download the CSV report for further reference.

  2. Identify the Affected CVEs

    • Navigate to the Vulnerabilities Dashboard.

    • Click on the toggle icon in the ID column.

    • This will display the affected CVEs, highlighted with a red-marked icon for easy identification.

  3. Mitigate High-Fidelity Attacks

    • Go to the PM (Patch Management) module.

    • Select the most critical patches.

    • Apply the patches by creating a remediation job.
