What is the purpose of checking WSUS/SCCM status in Saner CVEM?
Checking the WSUS/SCCM status helps verify whether Windows endpoints are correctly configured to use a local Windows Update Server or SCCM for patching. This ensures updates are managed according to enterprise policies.
How do I navigate to the WSUS/SCCM check?
- Log in to the Saner Console.
- Click the grid icon at the top center of the dashboard.
Once in Endpoint Management, click the "Checks" tab at the top.
Set the filter to Windows and Patch Management from the dropdown.
Click on "WSUS-SCCM Status".
What details does the WSUS-SCCM check provide?
The result pane displays:
WUServer / WUStatusServer – The URL of the update server (e.g., WSUS).
AUOptions – Indicates how updates are installed (e.g., Auto download).
UseWUServer – Whether WSUS is being used (true/false).
NoAutoUpdate – Shows if automatic updates are enabled.
Hosts / Device Names – List of affected devices.
