In the Saner CVEM console, users can access two distinct types of reports: Organization-level Reports and Account-level Reports. Each of these reports serves a unique purpose and provides insights at different levels of your organization. Understanding the difference between them will help you access the right data for your needs.
Organization-Level Reports
Organization-level reports give you a consolidated view of all accounts within the organization. These reports are designed to provide an overview of the organization's data across multiple accounts. They aggregate information, giving you insights into a broader scope, which is especially useful for administrators managing large or multiple accounts.
Key Features:
Scope: Covers data across all accounts in the organization.
Purpose: Provides an overview of organization-wide performance, trends, and metrics.
Use Case: Ideal for high-level reporting, monitoring, and audits across the entire organization.
Account-Level Reports
Account-level reports, on the other hand, focus on data specific to a single account. These reports give you detailed information about the selected account and its associated data, offering a deeper dive into the performance and security of that particular account.
Key Features:
Scope: Limited to the selected account.
Purpose: Provides detailed insights and metrics for the chosen account.
Use Case: Useful for account-specific analysis and the verification of required reports and audits.
How to Access Organization and Account-Level Reports in Saner CVEM Console
To access these reports, follow the steps below for each level:
Accessing Organization-Level Reports
Login: Start by logging into the Saner CVEM console with your credentials.
Navigate to the Overview Section: From the Home screen, click the 3-line icon (menu) and select Overview. This will switch you to the Organization Unified Dashboard view.
Access Reports: On the left-hand side of the dashboard, click on the Reports icon to view and search for the Organization-level reports.
You will be able to view consolidated reports across all accounts within your organization.
Accessing Account-Level Reports
Login: Log into the Saner CVEM console with your credentials.
Switch to Account Dashboard: From the Home screen, click on the desired account name. This will switch you to the Account Unified Dashboard view.
Access Reports: On the left-hand side of the dashboard, click on the Reports icon to access Account-level reports.
You will be able to view reports specific to the selected account and gain detailed insights into its data.
Important Note on Report APIs
Please note that not all report APIs available at the Account level are visible at the Organization level. This is due to the different methods of data indexing and processing at each level. Since Organization-level reports aggregate data from multiple accounts, some report APIs designed specifically for individual accounts may not be compatible or relevant when viewed from the organization level.
This distinction ensures that the Saner CVEM console processes data efficiently and accurately at both the Organization and Account levels.
