In Saner CVEM, managing missing patches efficiently is crucial for maintaining system security and compliance. The Patch Management module allows users to filter missing patches based on severity classifications. By using the Severity filter, you can easily view and prioritize patches based on their security relevance. This guide provides step-by-step instructions to apply filter and streamline patch management.

Follow these steps to filter patches based on severity in the Missing Patches section of Saner CVEM:

Steps to Apply the Filter:

  1. Log in to Saner CVEM.
  2. Navigate to the Patch Management module.
  3. Go to the Missing Patches section.
  4. Click on the More Filters dropdown.
  5. Select Severity from the list.
  6. The Severity filter will be added.
  7. Click on the Severity dropdown and check/uncheckthe boxes to filter:
    • Critical
    • High
    • Medium
    • Low
    • None (Basically classified for Non-Security Patches)

This will refine the Missing Patches list based on your selection.
