Modified on Fri, 1 Aug at 12:53 AM

Q: Why is script versioning important?

A: Script versioning helps ensure:

  • Safe rollback to previous stable versions

  • Better change management

  • Traceability for audit and compliance purposes

Q: How does script versioning and configuration work in Saner CVEM?
A: Saner CVEM supports automatic versioning of scripts. Each time a script is updated, a new version is automatically saved. This allows you to track changes, revert to previous versions, and maintain auditability over time.

Q: How many versions are retained by default?

A: By default, Saner CVEM retains up to 20 versions of a script. Once this limit is reached, the oldest versions are automatically purged to make space for newer ones.

Q: Is there a limit on the size of stored versions?

A: Yes, the platform enforces a maximum total size limit of 5MB for all retained versions of a script. If this size limit is exceeded, older versions are removed automatically based on the retention policy.
