Overview
The Prioritized Risks pane in the SanerNow dashboard provides a consolidated view of critical vulnerabilities and misconfigurations that require attention. From this pane, users can initiate remediation actions directly streamliningeamlining the process of addressing high-priority security issues.
This article outlines the steps to remediate vulnerabilities listed in the Prioritized Risks pane.
Steps to Remediate a Vulnerability
You can remediate both vulnerabilities and misconfigurations from this interface. Follow the steps below to initiate a patching task via Saner PM (Patch Management) for any listed CVE:
Step 1: Select the CVE
Browse through the list of identified risks in the Prioritized Risks pane.
Click to select the CVE ID you wish to remediate.
Once selected, the Remediate button at the top-right corner becomes active.
Step 2: Click the Remediate Button
Click the Remediate button.
This action redirects you to the Saner PM tool, where a Patching Task will be created for the selected CVE.
Step 3: Choose a Remediation Schedule
In the Saner PM interface, choose your preferred remediation schedule. The following options are available:
Schedule Type | Description |
---|---|
Immediate | The patch is applied immediately upon task creation. |
After Scheduled Scan | The patch is applied after the Saner Agent completes the next scheduled scan. |
Custom Date | You can specify a custom date and time for patch deployment. |
Additional Notes
Make sure the targeted devices are online and running the latest Saner Agent version for successful patch deployment.
You can monitor the status of the patch task from the Patch Management > Tasks section.
