Overview

This article provides step-by-step instructions to deploy the SecPod Saner Agent across multiple endpoints using Microsoft Active Directory (AD). This method helps administrators automate the agent installation process efficiently across an organization.

Steps to Deploy the Agent

  1. Convert SecPod Saner Agent (EXE) to MSI Format
Convert the Saner agent installation file from .exe to .msi format to make it compatible for deployment through Group Policy in Active Directory.

  2. Create a Software Distribution Point
Set up a shared network folder with appropriate permissions where the converted MSI package will be stored for deployment.

  3. Create a Group Policy Object (GPO)
In the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC), create a new GPO dedicated for Saner agent deployment.

  4. Upload MSI through GPO
Configure the GPO to install the MSI package by specifying the network path to the distribution point.

  5. Deploy Agents on Multiple Endpoints
Link the created GPO to the appropriate Organizational Units (OUs) in Active Directory. The Saner agent will be automatically installed on all target endpoints upon the next system restart or Group Policy update.
