The 'Email attribute not set' error is displayed on the SanerNow Login page.

Overview:

Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication solution that allows users to log in to multiple applications and websites with one-time user authentication. Given that users today frequently access applications directly from their browsers, organizations are prioritizing access management strategies that improve both security and the user experience. SSO delivers both aspects, as users can access all password-protected resources without repeated logins once their identity is validated.

Pre-requisites for signing in via Azure AD SSO
Following are the pre-requisites to configure Azure AD SSO
• Identity Provider Single Sign-On URL
• X.509 Certificate
• Issuer ID

Applicable platform:

On-Cloud and On-Premise Deployment

The 'Email attribute not set' error may appear on the SanerNow SSO access portal even after setting up the SSO setup in the SSO vendor admin console.

So we demonstrate how to include the required attributes in the SSO configurations in this document.

Steps to fix the 'Email attribute not set' error from the respective vendor admin console.
In this step, we are working with the Microsoft Azure admin center.

In Enterprise Applications → All applications → SanerNow SSO setup → Manage section → Single sign-on → edit User Attributes & Claims.
1. Login to the Azure admin centre.
2. Got to the User Attributes and Claim section
3. Click on Add new claim option.

4. Add the Email as in Cliam name and select attribute as user.email and save it.

5. Re-enforce the SSO authentication that has already been set up on the SanerNow console for the user that is experiencing errors.

6. Retry the SSO access from an end-user browser.
